Loran
Bailey

Loran Bailey began playing snare drum in his grandfather's church at a young age. His skills quickly developed as he began playing more and more. In middle school, Bailey began learning to read music to become more professional and qualify himself by taking royal school exams. Loran spent his high school years developing speed and timing behind the drum set. After graduating, he joined the Royal Bahamas Police Force where he became a member of the band division. While in the band he continued to develop his music reading skills and focused on becoming more fundamentally sound.

During this time he also developed his jazz reading and playing skills. Bailey teaches drums to urban young people of the Bahamas. He was a percussion instructor at the urban renewal band. Loran has played for churches, jazz band, concert band and Willis and the Illest reggae Band. He is a skillful, dependable and talented musician.

Mr. Bailey is presently finishing his degree in percussion performance and also is the percussion instructor for the Prairie View A&M University Marching Storm Drumline.
