Kevin Boyle is in his fourteenth year of teaching instrumental music and his fourth year as the Director of Bands at Creekland Middle School in Canton, GA. He is also the Director of Percussion at Creekview High School.
Ensembles under Mr. Boyle's direction have received Superior ratings at the Georgia Music Educators Association's annual Large Group Performance Evaluation. His band students participate in both the District IX All-District Band and the Georgia All-State Band. His middle school and high school percussion ensembles perform at the Lassiter Percussion Symposium each year.
Mr. Boyle is an active clinician, presenting at The Midwest Clinic International Band and Orchestra Conference in 2017, at local In-Service Conferences in New York (2015), North Carolina (2013, 2014), Georgia (2009, 2018), and Alabama (2011), as well as the Feierabend Association for Music Education 2014 International Conference. He also taught at The Vandercook College of Music in Chicago in the summer of 2016.
He is one of the co-authors of the Habits of a Successful Middle School Musician book series with Scott Rush and Jeff Scott. Mr. Boyle arranges the percussion scores for several high school marching programs and has extensive experience in percussion performance in both the concert and marching venues. He was the assistant director for the 2009 WGI World Champion Pariah Marching Percussion Ensemble.
Mr. Boyle earned his bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of Georgia in 2005, and he is currently working on his Master's Degree in Music Education at The University of North Texas.
Professional affiliations include the Percussive Arts Society, Phi Beta Mu International School Bandmaster's Fraternity, the National Association for Music Education, Georgia Music Educators Association, the National Band Association, and The Feierabend Association for Music Education. Kevin Boyle also proudly represents Innovative Percussion Inc., Sabian Cymbals, and Dynasty Percussion.
Mr. Boyle currently resides in Canton, GA with his wife Allison, and step-daughter Anne.
