Christian P. Videtto, is the Director of Percussion Studies for the Central of Carroll County School System in Carrollton, GA. Originally from South Carolina, Mr. Videtto graduated from Silver Bluff High School in Aiken, SC. Shortly after high school Mr. Videtto joined the U.S. Navy. While in the Navy, Mr. Videtto attended Old Dominion University as well as serving in Operation Enduring and Iraqi Freedom. In 2004 Mr. Videtto returned home from the Navy to pursue a career in Music Education. Mr. Videtto has taught at Western Branch High School in Chesapeake, VA; Silver Bluff High School in Aiken, SC; Barnwell High School, in Barnwell, SC and Burke County High School in Waynesboro, GA where he served as Assistant Director of Bands. Bands and Percussion Ensembles under his direction have received numerous superior ratings and high percussion awards and have been featured in such events as the London New Years Day Parade in London, England. As an avid arranger Mr. Videtto has arranged music for many schools including the U.S. Naval Academy Drum and Bugle Corps. in Bethesda, MD as well as for middle schools and high schools in Georgia, South Carolina, and Virginia. He is also a respected adjudicator and is in demand for outdoor and indoor marching percussion competitions and clinics. He has worked with such names as Dennis Delucia, Scott Johnson, Thom Hannum and Dr. Chris Lee. Mr. Videtto’s professional affiliations include: MENC, GMEA, FFJA, PAS. He proudly endorses: Dynasty Marching Percussion, Vic Firth Sticks and Mallets, Remo Drum Heads and Educational Instruments, and Sabian Cymbals.
